千百年前，悠扬驼铃穿越戈壁荒漠，架起了东西方文明交流的丝绸之路；而在新时代的今天，古老丝路迎来了全新的继承者——中欧班列“钢铁驼队”。它接过了昔日漫漫驼队的接力棒，以钢铁列车为载体，驰骋在绵延万里的亚欧铁道线上，不分寒暑、跨越国界，串联起中国与欧洲、中亚各国。它满载国货精品、工业物资与民生商品走出国门，也带回海外特色物产、先进技术与多元文化，让跨国贸易更加高效便捷，让文明交流再度升温。这不仅是一条贸易通道，更是新时代互联互通、互利共赢的丝路纽带。本周英语角，我们一起走进中欧班列的故事，了解它的发展历程、独特意义与国际影响，用双语视角看懂中国智造与大国开放！
Thousands of years ago, ancient camel caravans traveled across deserts and mountains, building the world-famous Silk Road for cultural and trade communication. Today, the classic ancient road has been revitalized by a modern legend — the China-Europe Railway Express, also known as the “Steel Camel Caravan”. Instead of camels and horses, powerful freight trains run steadily on the Eurasian railways, breaking geographical barriers and linking China with Europe and Central Asia. It transports high-quality Chinese manufactured goods to overseas markets and brings diverse foreign products, resources and cultures back to China. It greatly facilitates international trade, promotes economic cooperation and strengthens cultural exchanges between countries. As a vital symbol of China’s opening-up and international connectivity, this modern “steel camel caravan” continues the spirit of the ancient Silk Road. In this week’s English Corner, let’s explore its development, significance and wonderful stories together, and broaden our global vision with bilingual thinking!

每周，我们会举办两场传统文化口语角活动，一校区和二校区每周各一场，大家可以根据自己的时间，任选一场参加。具体时间如下：

口语英语角专为中外学生共同交流设计，在轻松氛围里自信开口、互相学习，用双语讲出中国故事，让文化成为最好的沟通桥梁。鼓励大胆开口，练习英语口语的同时，纠正发音与语法，说出更地道的英语或中文，主题清晰、表达简单、中外互助对话，双向提升语言能力，拓展国际视野。
This English corner is built for Chinese and international students. In a relaxed vibe, you'll speak with confidence, learn from one another, and share Chinese stories, turning culture into a bridge for communication. We encourage you to speak up, practice your spoken English, improve your pronunciation and grammar, and also help international students to get to know more about Chinese. With clear topics, simple expressions, and peer support across cultures, you'll grow your language skills in both directions, and broaden your global perspective as well.
如果你想深入了解中国传统文化背后的故事，或者你正在准备英语口语考试，愿意用英语开口聊聊，也许只是有点好奇、有点害羞，但想试着迈出一小步，那么这个英语角，就是为你准备的。我们不追求完美表达，只鼓励勇敢开口，每一次分享，都是更好的开始。
